Why waste seed of urs???
U know It is the only thing which u have reserved for ur [legal partner] WIFE....
If u loose it on ground or use it in some other woman, it will be a great sin....
Just take example.....
If ur friend has something vey important to u[like a sports car or treasure chest ] & he looses it or he makes use of it in anyway, [be it drag race & crashing ur SuperSports car in a tree or a highspeed truck, or just have some of FUN time on some island with some whors on lots of ur expence]
will u let him do that???
Or will u not feel frustrated???
Similarly u have seed for ur wife ONLY...
it is not meant for loosing in somone else[illegitimate sex] or on groung just like that!....
& also, if u masturbate, u make ur timming less & less...
& u will not be able to satisfy ur wife....
& she will not enjoy u ....
Which she has the right to have....
If u don't do it, u create stamina & will be able to satisfy ur partner[wife ] also as well as u will also feel great!
timing is longer & enjoyment is greater....
no need of using drugs like viagra & all that...
Also,
why do such thing which u feel shameful to do in front of others???

I'm not sure that it is a sin. But, I have heard that masturbation is another form of sex outside of marriage. If that is true, then it would be a sin. One thing in the Bible always makes me remember not to judge others, though. Here it is:
Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
(Substitute the word "sin" for "unclean" and you'll see what I mean.) Peace.

I was gearing up to unleash a pro-masturbatory rant, but I have to concede that Copticphoenix has a very logical response with regard to Judeo-Christian doctrine. If God exists, the act of sexual intercourse (in addition to procreation, obviously) was designed to be equally beneficial to both parties. Consequently, masturbation is a selfish act in that you aren't sharing that pleasure with another. Not to mention that the person masturbating is more than likely engaging in lust, another one of God's least favorite activities.
I think that pretty much covers all the bases ;0)

masterbation is not a sin. however, it is a sin to lust after something. masterbation and lust usually go hand in hand (no pun intended) that is why some think it is a sin.

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.Matthew 5:28
And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. mark 4:19
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.Romans 6:12
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.Titus 3:3
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.james 4:

i never knew that was considered a sin. i don't consider it a sin. i think certain religions are too extreme and take things out of context. they sit there and pick and choose what is going to be a sin. they take little things that make u human and turn it into a sin.

As the fellow Answerer said, it is a sin to "waiste" your own seed. But furthermore to that, it gets deaper...
God gave us the Grace of sexual pleasure, but not for own selfish gratification, but for our partners to share with us, and vise-versa. If I seek to give myself my own pleasure, I become sexually selfish, and selfishness is totally against the divine loving comandment of God.
Also, what does one think of when they are masterbating? I doubt they are thinking very pure and inocent thoughts...but rather their mind and heart is racing with lustful thoughts and "commiting adultry in the heart" as the Lord Christ said of those that lust after others in thought.
Finally, if it's an uncontrolable habit, then one has no control over my own desires...which again, is not acceptable before God because we are commanded to fight the good fight and resist the lusts of the flesh.
I hope this somewhat helps...God bless you my friend.

The term "Onanism" referring to masturbation, comes from the Hebrew man Onan, who, rather than give his seed to his brother's widow to raise up a son for his brother, wasted his seed on the ground selfishly rather than follow the Hebrew laws of inheritance. I believe this is the first instance of "Coitus interruptus" rather than masturbation.

It is an unclean habit...because it may lead to sin...such as premarital sex...and men try to fantasize...if married men thinks of other women while masturbating so in his mind he sins already. If younger unmarried men fantasize about women they sin in their minds also.
