ok theres a guy i briefly dated once and he stopped contacting me, and ignored when i contacted him. i assumed he didnt like me so decided to move on. anyhow ive since heard from his friend that he does like me but is confused about what he wants and scared. would a guy really act like this if he was scared?? i thought if u liked someone that much u would just go for it, and wouldnt be able to bear ignoring them. id been left feeling like he hated me but am now confused.

there's this girl i really like, we dated 2 years ago but then i stopped for some reason i dont understand.
she's had 2 bofyfriends since then.
and it really tore my heart everytime i saw her with her ex.
we were from the same high school.
now she's single again & i told her already what i feel for her.
we're dating again..
we're in college now. different universitys though..
i don't want to lose her again.. ever..

It's nonsense. He may have stopped contacting you if he had zero confidence or was really clueless, but he wouldn't have ignored you....not if there was any genuine love for you in there somewhere. My guess is that the guy was just getting oats from elsewhere for a while and didn't need to be in touch with anyone else. Simple as that. Either way, you'll suss him pretty quickly if you ask him the right questions...

YEs Guys are scared of rejection. You ladies actually do not realise how stressful asking a lady out can be. Hence the stupid pickup lines.... if you get rejected you can always make out like its a joke. Guys ususally do not notice what you might think are obvious signs of interest especially in the PC world of the 21st century.

I dunno, it sounds like he's being a bit of an idiot if he's doing that. OK it sounds like he's a complete idiot, but what can you do?
I don't think he's "scared", just "pathetic". Not calling you, I could understand, but to ignore you when you call him just isn't right, no matter what he's scared of. It's just an excuse.
Go for someone else. That should screw his head up even more, then you'll find out what he REALLY thinks about you.

Wonder what he is supposed to be scared of. You, maybe? Hmm... I would let this one go, actually as I am not too keen on men who are scared. Life is hard enough without having to take on board someone else's emotional baggage.

Maybe he thinks that you are too good for him. If you're interested still then show it more. Maybe he can't bear ignoring you but doesn't know how to overcome his problem.

Its probably pretty common. I think maybe he has been hurt before and is gun shy. Or, maybe he has hurt someone badly before and doesn't want to hurt you too.
