2 weeks ago my long distance boyfriend stopped calling and text'ng... This was his text reply a week later..
"Firstly i want to apologise for my behaviour, but i needed time out to clear my head. I love you deeply thats one thing i'm sure of. But the distance(1300km's) is really getting to me and to make matters worse i don't think i'll be able to see you over this festive season. To top it all there's nothing that both of us can do about it(due to the fact he needs to work away) I know i hurt you,i'm hurting too.. right now i feel that you deserve better cos you're a stunning woman with a wonderful personality. I hope you can forgive me. And i know that one day we will end up happily together cos thats what we both deserve...I love you.. i know it's gonna be difficult but please be strong".
I replied asking what it all means, still no response from him..
I'm in limbo....Did we break up?
After a week i realise that i don't wanna be involved with someone so childish, selfish &cruel.

Hi, I am sorry but this is what I believe is happening
It appears your boyfriend is 'kinda' breaking up with you but he is leaving it open for you two to get back together when or if he returns to where you live. In the meantime it appears he wants a clear conscience of not being with you so that he can pursue someone local.
This is just my opinion but it does appear he wants something near and now and perhaps pick up with you when he returns. At least he is doing the decent thing in one respect and telling you to do the same, a right bastard could just cheat on you and keep you hanging on for when he gets back so stay friends, see who else is out there and you never know like he said if its meant to be then maybe in the future you will be reunited

Long distance romance can work but methinks not in this case.
Sorry to say it but he's moving on because the distance says he can.
He's not contacting you because he feels bad about it and probably doesn't want to be drawn into any emotional showdown.
Move on and find someone more accessible
Good luck!!

Yes, it's over.
Move on until the time, may or may not come, that he moves closer to you. Distance is just too great to sustain a relationship. It may seem cruel but logical.
Sorry.

Yeah seems like it. Best to move on. He could've at least phoned you but at least he text you and let you know. If he didn't text back when you text him I'd say it's definately over. There is someone better out there for you.

childish,selfish &cruel?
he is asking you to not leave him while he is gone,
thinking that is a break up and demanding their reply straight away is you being selfish and childish,
try waiting another week or two, if no reply, then that is break up
edit: who the hell would reply to a one week old txt message if they didn't like them... NO-ONE

Sounds to me like hes seperating himself from you to stop himself from feeling bad about the time he can't spend with you. But if I know men, and I think I do, if he's "ignoring" you its because he's had enough or found someone else.

hes found somebody else, thats probably the last you'll hear from him. wish him well as a last goodbye from you and start fresh. find yourself a local lad (easier to keep track off)

why don't you email him and tell him that you are formally breaking up with him? if he accepts this, then it's time to move on, if he thinks he can't give up on you, he should call you right away and refuse this. but if he refuses your break up proposal, think twice girl, this guy can't make up his mind. goodluck...
