Actually, provided it is not pornographic, and you have parental consent, and atleast 1 parent is present at all times during the photo shoot, there is no legal age. Nudity is considered art. Not all nudity is adult in nature. Just cover your @$$ if you are using a model under 18, it's very tricky business.

Assuming you are in the US: 18 is the general answer but not the absolute answer. For example, in my State most photogs would not do a nude of a girl unless she was at least 19 because the laws require that age for certain types of photos and we all know that one person's artistic nude can be another person's porno. To play it safe they go 19 or older.
If your friends are under 18 and you are over 18 you are putting yourself in serious jeopardy if you take photos of them in the nude. All it would take would be one upset parent or one regretful teen for you to be branded a child sex offender. Just a few years back a local photographer was convicted and went to jail for taking nudes of girls that were 17. They weren't porno but that didn't matter. The girls were underage and now that guy probably can't touch a camera for the rest of his life.

Varies from state to state. Not sure if photographs would be considered an age of consent issue but in many states age of consent is 16
