Seems to me that they are pretty good proof of life existing long before we did. If God put them there to 'test' us then God's kind of mean, no?

God said, "I am tired of creating living things. let me just create a couple of bone like things to fox them when they're smart enough to find them."

I have decided to be extremely silly for the next two hours. I ask everyone to give me some fun questions. I am starved for good humor today.

Where are the FSM believers?

From what I've heard after all these years of controversy, all the acts of physically destroying records (example: parallel tracks of dinosaur and human footprints in the Paluxy River Gorge near Fort Worth) and presenting artificial fossils as real (example: Peking man) have been perpetrated by the evolutionists. The lack of "missing links" between species in the fossil record does support the theory of "intelligent design." The piles of scrambled bones in fossil graveyards throughout the world support the Genesis record of a world deluge followed by a great wind. As Jesus said, "If any man will do his will [God's], he shall know of the doctrine..." John 7:17 People are going to believe what they want to believe depending on where they perceive the advantage to be for themselves.

Intelligent Design doesn't explain fossils. And yes, if they were put there to test us, god is mean.

But that hypothesis about god being mean is completely untestable, or unfalsifiable. Therefore, it is not a scientific statement - Right or Wrong.

These guys will push a lot of pseudo-science down our throats, conveniently omitting new evidence, or unsettling facts. Don't be fooled. After looking closely at several 'Scientific' proofs of Intelligent Design, each and every one of them is deeply flawed.

Only fossils believe in Intelligent Design.

It takes one of several different approaches:

1) It says they're fake or illegitimate or something like that.
2) It questions or criticizes the methods that scientists use to determine how old they are.
3) It does what you mentioned -- it says that they're real fossils but God put them there "to test our faith."
4) It says that they're not legit because they're part of a massive Darwinist conspiracy to discredit the church.

All in all, they find some way around it, either by denial or something else. They always do.

Your right ID can't explain the existence of fossils, why would god want to test us, religion is based on faith. Although god is meant to be all holy placing them there to me would seem like a lie.

as i recall, in genesis the animals did come first. the interpretation of the "days" in which god created the universe does not mean earthly days. it is a representation of integral passages of time. fossils do nothing to disprove the existence of god. in fact, if these fossils are dated from before man roamed the earth, that is proof of the chronilogical order of creation set in the book of genesis. archeology is very consistent with the bible.

Millions of dead things burried in rock layers covered in water all over the earth. Guess what the flood provided? Millions of dead things, buried in rock layers, covered in water all over the earth. Water recedes in some areas making it easier to get to some of them though some have been found in excavations in water. Do you know how long it takes something to become a fossil? Not millions of years, not hundreds of thousands either! MAN put those labels on it by dating methods that are not absolute fact. No two dating methods ever concur on the same date so man interprets it to what he "thinks" it is and others take it as fact. Fossil dating methods used on a LIVE mollusk showed it to be 1 million years old! Wow, that's accurate!
How about science trying to cover up things they say were extinct that show up now and then are labeled as "living fossils". HA-Ha! Now that's funny right there, I don't care who ya are!
Got a little extra time, want some REAL explanations....
go to this web address.....

or even...

‘Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens.’ And God went on to say: ‘Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind.’ And it came to be so.” (Genesis 1:20, 24)

After God has prepared earth he then created man.

Days for God does not literally mean 24-hour days like we have. Days for God could mean a 100 years or more....the bible often refers to...in the days of...e.g. in the days of Noah, that is his lifespan. Seven days of God's creation doesnt mean one week but thousands of years.

So the animals have been created, they could have died and so, small or big animals the bible said God created them....its possible that the animals have died even before Adam was created.

They mostly say that a majority of fossils were created in the flood due to cataclysm and burial of organisms in undersea mud etc.
