No. Where did you hear that? I have been to several temples in Asia, some Shaolin, but never heard of this before.

A respectable theory, but in no way can Shaolin Priests walk through walls. They can ,although, perform training that an average person would consider insane. I study Shaolin Kung Fu an my teachers are exellent, but no Shaolin Priests.Perhaps the Shaolin Priests have guarded their ancient training secrets for a reason...

Something to ponder upon, Good Luck!!!

No a little something called Newtons third law of physics kind of gets in the way of that one. "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." If they could walk through the wall they can fall through the floor too. This same reason also explains away ghosts.

Even a skilled Kung Fu master cannot violate the laws of science.

I have heard the legend that they could...however no one knows of anyone, even in the legends, that could actually do this. Not even those that have studied there (like a former instructor of mine) have any knowledge of how the legend started, when it began or who the subject might have been...

Most likely the legends originated from outisders who did not understand the true skills and training of the Shaolin Monks, but then myths and legends always grow up around any sort of group that keeps itself as isolated as Shaolin did for so many years.

Yes.

And while we're at it, Santa Clause really does live at the North Pole and delivers presents every Christmas Eve to all the good boys and girls, even the Muslims and Buddhists; and the Easter Bunny really does give out presents every Easter; and the leprechaun on Lucky Charms boxes isn't a cartoon, those are actually photographs of a real leprechaun.

Of course not!

This myth comes from a few captured monks being bound and put inside of stone wall style prison. I can't remember the exact story, but the jest of it is: While being bound in ropes to poles they flexed their bodies to resist the bindings, when night time fell they relaxed their bodies and the ropes fell limp to their feet. They then scaled the wall and silently exited the premises without being noticed, due to the strength in their hands and their knowledge of controling and shifting their body wieght.

no, perhaps in legend, but that sounds more like the myths of the ninja. they say that metaphysically if you vibrate your being at the same vibration as the object you can walk through it, but then I say that you have become it so you couldnt pass through it any more than it can pass through itself. but atoms are vibrating and quantum physics says that everything is possible, just that the odds of something like this happening are probably 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 to 1.

Yes, and so can I.

There is an ancient device that allows this sort of things, you know.

It's called a door.
