hiya, i was a nanny for like 3 year but I didn't have any qualifications. I found my people on the net and things go on to www.nannynet.co.uk
I think if you want to work for a family they want you to have experience more then qualifications. But if you would like to be a nursery assistant ask in your local nursery's if they have any opening for a job..they always need people! Well, hope this helps!
Cheers Lucy

to become a childminder u also need to apply to ur local council, u will have to have the appropriate qualifications as well.. usually its a svq lvl 2 in childcare and education or above... i do live in scotland and laws may be different if u are not in scotland.. phone local council and ask.
ok u can study a NC lvl in childcare and education in about a year part time.. check out ur local colleges etc..

when i was training to b a nursery nurse a few years ago you needed a GNVQ at level 2 to be qualified , but i believe its been raised to level 3. each level should take 1-2 years to complete , im afraid i dont know about costs though.

You need to be a qualified paedophile. And degrees in health and social care, or child development help too!
But the paedophile thing mainly.
People are stoopid enough.
