Hi,

You should visit:
- Eiffel tower at night (10/11 p.m) and surroundings,
- Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur,
- Le Louvre museum if you like these kind of visits,
- Go to "St Michel" station in the heart of Paris where you can find the most beautiful cathedral,
- Champs Elysée

That will be a good trip. There are of course many other spots to see.

Have a nice trip

Practically impossible if you're not an EU national and/or independently wealthy. Currently very difficult even if you ARE an EU national, given how employers are tightening their belts and their budgets. Non-EU nationals need to get a job offer in writing from a registered employer before coming over, and this is very hard because it's very expensive for the employer. So unless you have any specific and rare skills you can share with the French or the Italians, I would say you're out of luck. If you don't speak the language of either country, I think you'd better get learning one of them pronto. I think in Canada, it's easier to learn French? However, if you can prove either one of your parents in an EU national by birth, you might be able to get nationality of that state. You could look into this. You don't provide your nationality, you just say you live in Canada. Did you google 'permesso di soggiorno' to see if there's more information about it? This should be your first stop.
