Yes, it is true. Apparently some guy invented it by making up a batter mix of coca cola syrup and strawberry syrup. Balls of the batter are then deep fried and end up like ping pong sized doughnuts, served in a cup smothered in more of the coke syrup, whipped cream and cinnamon sugar. He sold them for the first time recently at the Texas state fair and apparently won a prize for coming up with the most creative new food at the fair!! Hope they don't catch on here in Australia!!

sounds like funnel cake batter with Coke. Now, dealer Abel Gonzales Jr. has arise with a sparkling artery-clogging concoction for the State honest of Texas. that is fried Coke. Gonzales deep-fries Coca-Cola-flavored batter. He then drizzles Coke fountain syrup on it. The fried Coke is topped with whipped cream, cinnamon sugar and a cherry. Gonzales stated the fried Coke got here about purely from wondering aloud.

It's no big deal - it's making funnel cakes (deep fried dough) with Coke instead of water in the batter, then putting it in a cup, pouring cola syrup over, garnished with whipped cream and a cherry.

It is true that there is fried coke, except maybe not what you're thinking. It's basically fried coke flavored batter topped with coke syrup and other toppings. I haven't had any myself, but it definately sounds interesting.

Yes, but it is not what you are thinking. It was invented in Tx and has been served in alot of state fairs. It is deep fried bits of dough dusted with powdered sugar, whipped cream, coke syrup and strawberry syrup. Sounds gross to me.....
