The only way I have found an Acer scanner driver was on a paying american website. Are they charging for everything now?

Reason #55,907 that I run http://pclinuxos.com

All the 'drivers' resources are included,
(except for a few braindead peripherals that only can be used with Microsoft), that penalize speed, and commit consumer fraud...

and, all the "114,000 Microsoft Virus Definitions" are excluded!

I just checked and driverguide.com have millions of Acer scanner drivers. You have to register, but registration is free - you never have to pay for any of it.
