These are suitable for vegans and taste great!

Mushroom Filo Bites

Ingredients

4 large closed cup mushrooms
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sauce flour
unsweetened soya milk
salt and pepper to taste
filo pastry

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Make the filling using the mushroom sauce recipe. Take 2 sheets of filo pasty and cut them into a square shape. Damp the edges of one and stick the other on top. Then damp the edges of the top piece. put a spoonful of the mushroom sauce mixture on one side of the pastry leaving a gap around the edge. Fold te other side over to make a triangle shape and press along the edges. Once you have used all of the mixture, place them on a greased baking tray andbake for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Mix a block of soften cream cheese with herbs, salt and black pepper... Roll into a ball and stick in biscuit sticks and vege sticks to make it look like a porcupine. Ur guest can pick the sticks off the 'animal' with the cheese... stick more biscuits and vege when it runs out. =)

As for a canned of oysters.... Cook them in shrimp stock till they are just cooked. Drain and chill.
sauce: Mix dice chilli, english mustard, a pinch of salt, pepper and sugar, and some chopped up fresh herbs...
Place each osyter on a chinese spoon, drizzle a dash of lemon juice and tabasco and top with the sauce.

Enjoy!!!

Take a freshly laid turd, coat in breadcrumbs and deep fry until golded brown. Make a dipping sauce with 3 day old urine boiled hard to reduce to half it's volume.

Pour half cup of sweet chilli garlic thai sauce over a block of cream cheese (microwave the block first briefly to soften a bit). Serve with crackers. Yummy. If you like this, please send me one of your favorite party appetizers. I have canned oysters and don't know what to do with them to make a really intersting appetizer

I love making buffets and party food, this is my standard spread..no fancy canapes, just good food that kids up to granny would like. All of these could be turned into canapes however. Just make them up, in small portions and hire a waitress to mingle with your guests - serving them!

Nice bread rolls, with cheese/meats left separate so that people can make their own sandwiches (no more curly sandwiches)
Thin sausages (bratwurst if you can get them) coated in maple syrup and red wine vinegar and roasted

Crostini/biscuits or vol au vents topped/stuffed with a choice of the following:
Slices of Brie, with a dollop of good (homemade) tomato chutney
Anchovy paste, grated cheese and butter mashed together
Shredded chicken, with ginger and spring onion, mixed with sour cream

Mini yorkshire puddings with big dollop of horseradish and slice of beef inside (I think this may have been a Delia recipe)

Home made pate (much easier than you think and makes loads of the stuff!) Smoked mackeral (flavoured with orange, lemon and brandy!) or chicken liver (flavoured with mustard, thyme and more brandy)

A huge cheese selection (with figs, melon, grapes, passionfruit etc to garnish) Place large bowl of good chutney or pickles in the middle of the platter)
A huge fish selection (if you live near the sea like me this is easy), buy mussels, oysters, prawns, smk mackeral, hot smoked salmon etc Place on large platter with loads of lemon and lime wedges. Buy Samphire to garnish if available. Big bowl of mayo flavoured with lemon in the middle.

Scotch eggs - home made. Try making them with fish, flavoured with chillis, lime, garlic and coconut instead of sausage meat. They are easier than they look to make.

Buy long skewers (kebab sticks) and skewer cherry toms, diced cucumber, basil and feta cheese that has been drizzled with olive oil and garlic

Make a plate of antipasti selection, olives, melon, salami, mozarella, artichokes marinaded veggies etc - this looks really good

Huge bowl of good salad - Jamie Olver has some great ideas so I wont bother to write these down.

For desserts, I recommend making something like a chocolate fridge cake, fruit salad made with interesting fruits, eton mess etc etc.
