try to book the ticket of the local air lines, ask for a big discount like 40%off... it is really cheap and fast...

about the Great Wall, go to Simatai, it is much better than Badaling... Simatai is the real parts of the Great Wall...

Fly. It's faster and easier. Just make sure that if you take a cab into Beijing from the airport that they don't try to charge you in dollars instead of yuan.

airplane to get to beijing. but to tell you the truth, the great wall in beijing isn't the best. Try the Great wall in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province. It is much better.

i was there last year and i got an overnight train,that way i could sllep during my journey and not miss a day beacuse i didnt have much time there.
