Tomatos are said to be a fruit scientifically because it has seeds and all fruits have seeds, but, however, most people refer a tomato as a vegetable because how it is used in recipes. That's not completely wrong either. Also, in 1883, The US Supreme Court ruled that a tomato is a vegetable. So decide for yourself. Fruit or vegatable?

Scientifically speaking, a tomato is definitely a fruit. True fruits are developed from the ovary in the base of the flower, and contain the seeds of the plant (though cultivated forms may be seedless).

Anything which has seeds inside when you peel/open it is "Classified" as fruit ( like tomatoes), even though some people/stores will put them under vegetables category....
Think of anything that does not have seeds inside it when you open it, then it's a vegetable.
