Any "Clarifying" shampoo will do (followed by a light moisturizing conditioner). Right now I use Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo, but I once used a product from the new line of Herbal Essences, it's a green bottle named "Degunkify." The cool thing about this particular shampoo is it has menthol in it, so if you leave it on your hair for 60+ seconds, it makes your head feel sooo clean and tingly!

I use the Herbal Essences Rainforest Flowers for Normal Hair (it's purple and smells lovely!) Shampoo and Conditioner and that seems to do the job very well! I have to use hairspray at least twice a week on my hair and this shampoo and conditioner gets it out every time.

You want to use a good clarifying shampoo. I would check a good beauty supply and get either Paul Mitchell (shampoo 3), Redken (Cleansing Cream shampoo) or Framesi (clarifying shampoo)
All of these will Clarify and help remove mineral deposits and styling product build-up without damaging your hair.
Redken is my favorite.

Go to a salon and tell them you need a Clarifying Shampoo! Or if you refuse to pay salon prices, go to sallys beauty supply store and tell them to help you find a good Clarifying Shampoo! It strips the hair of residues! Good luck. If you go to a salon, I would suggest REDKEN! It is Wonderful!

pantene do a clarifying shampoo, either that or just a little bit of washing up liquid does the same job but make sure you use a good conditioner afterwards. Only use it once a week at the most tho.
