If they are not a purebred, they are a mongrel or mutt..both terms are correct... However, many purebreds have become strays and street dogs.. I have rescued 2 purebred cocker spaniels, an Afghan hound, and a German shepherd..all 4 were Just strays..

unfortunately the majority of people who have mutts are the ones who let their dogs run. Some do but most pedigree owners have spent more money and therefore, tend to take better care on average. BUT, NOT ALL!!!!!!!! There is no breed called "stray dog" most are a mix of two or more breeds.

Stray dogs aren't a breed. Stray dogs can be of any breed or of mixed breeds usually referred to as mutts. But there are also lots of stray dogs out there that are purebred animals of different breeds.

If i understand your question properly, what ur asking is what are mixed breed dogs called? *Mind you stray dogs can be any kind of breed, if they have been abandoned, just that most mixed breed dogs aka parlia or Mongrels are often seen on the streets. Rather than normal breeds.

A stray dog is just one without a home out roaming wild. Any dog can be a stray.

Any breed can be a stray. Not sure I understand the question. Are you thinking of mongrel? That's another word for mixed breed or mutt.

Stray dogs aren't a breed, they are dogs that have run away from home, for whatever reason.
They are dogs that have been abandoned or dumped by mindless pathetic excuses for human owners.

the technical term for a domesticated, stray animal that has "gone wild" is "feral".
The breed can be anything...any breed of dog can become feral.
