Even if the pit bull locks its jaws, the badger has a defense for that. Their hide is very loose, and they can basically twist within it to get their nasty claws and teeth into an attacker. Plus, they are VERY fierce animals for their size!

I think both animals would be severely injured, and perhaps both would die. I do hope you are not intending to arrange a battle.

The pit bull. it has lock jaw. if it bites onto the badger, it wont come off unless it wants too. you can't just pull them off.
I read a paper clipping that was on a story of a pit bull latching onto a fox terrier. The owner even hit the pit bull over the head with a piece of steel pipe and it wouldn't do anything it just stayed on. until it decided to let go of the dog and go for the owner instead.
so yeah......pit bull would win.

If the badger didn't win, the pit bull would sure wish he had! They really tear a dog up! Badger got hold of my hound..Wow! I couldn't believe the damage, on every area of his body..that thing had to strike faster than a snake.

I had a mutt dogs (Pyrenees, husky, german shepard, mastiff mixture) that killed a badger. i assumed my dogs replaced into going to be all torn up, yet we in no way got here upon a scratch on her. The impressive element is ninety% of the time she replaced into so lazy we've been frightened she might strengthen moss. She carried around the carcass of the badger for months in the previous i ultimately made my husband take it to the unload.

The Badger would win every time they are the largest carnivore in the UK,& can be truly savage & fearless to protect the cubs & themselves, when horrible scum bait these animals they dislocate or break the back legs of the Badger,so that a pack of dogs can stand a chance,a Badger full grown is 100lbs plus of pure muscle razor sharp claws & teeth like no other animal,my collie has chased a couple on the farm while walking at night & he has been very very lucky, never under estimate the strength of Badgers, & they definitely have more intelligence than 99.9% of all pit bull owners,

If it were *MY* pittie, the badger wouldn't stand a chance, but that would be because I'd shoot it. (no I don't have a gun, but I imagine if I were to be going somewhere where my pups could come into contact with such dangerous creatures, I would take a little insurance.)

Neither, both would be torn up! It is a toss up on who got the first hold and where. I certainly wouldnt want to see that.

Well!!!! if these two animals come into contact it would probably be because of human planning so one could only hope they would both join forces, and turn on the owner of the dog.
