It's not demonic or Satanic. In fact, originally Evanescence was somewhat of a Christian band (all the members were Christians and they met at a Christian summer camp) - but only somewhat. Evanescence has disavowed its existence as a Christian band now, but they're definitely not demonic or Satanic.
As for the symbol, it's just a stylized goth-looking E. If you look at it, you can tell it is an E. There's nothing demonic, Satanic, or runic about it. Depending on whom you listen to, it was either a symbol originally drawn by Ben Moody (guitarist and co-founder) or developed by a hired artist under the supervision of Ben and Amy.
Sorry to disappoint you if you wanted it to be darker than it really is. But it is pretty dark and gothic looking, isn't it?

Because a lot of the old Rock n Roll songs of the late 60's and early 70's by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, and The Doors contain the keys to unlocking the mystical religion that the bible is all about that Christianity conceals in its false fantasy they've made of those ancient mystical metaphors hehe. Rock n Roll is the true belief system of the bible if you interpret it correctly, and have the knowledge/gnosis to do so.

A symbol is nothing. It's like a label. We tend to label everything. Evanescence is peaceful music. I have seen her in concert and never got that satanic thing.

I dont think it has anything to do with satan or the devil. i think i read somewhere that amy lee (evanescence's lead singer) said it was like an eclipse thing, but i have horrible memory. i personally think it looks like a lower case 'e'.

I searched. I dunno. I don't think it means anything. It just looks like a double sided sickle. There are alot of symbols that are created that really just mean nothing at all.
