In a new relationship, should the guy do all the pursuing or is it ok for the girl to do some pursuing too? (as in making contact first, calling him, etc)

I think it's okay for the girl to pursue. Don't over do it though, he'll think you're clingy or maybe even psycho.

I think it should be about 60/40, with the guy doing more of the pursuing. This lets the woman know he is willing to stick around.

I think a girl should not be afraid to make advances, but then again ONLY if she has the guts to, I don't think this will be a problem. It's more fun to be taking part in all the pursuing thing. A fair play that is.

As for me, when I really like the guy, there's no stopping me.

Pursuing one another is not really necessary. If you, as a guy, like the girl, then just make your normal romantic moves without being too obsessed with a lot of things.

Thinking about too much trivial matters only kills the romance.

Good luck.

In a word, YES. It's alright for the woman to pursue TO A DEGREE, but not in the way a man does. Although it might work in the short-term scheme, it won't lead to long-term happiness. I won't get into why right now, but doing things like flirting, acting coy, giving hints and things like that are great. But calling first, asking him out... big no no's.

If you're "in" a new relationship the pursuing part is over, right? At this point, I say share the love, be yourselves, and let nature take it's course.

Now, if you're referring to "dating" someone new, then that's a different ball park. Bow, wow, wow, yippy-yo, yippy-ye...and that's all I got to say. Lol.

A Lady can pursue and maintain her dignity, standards, moralse and values, do it with style and grace. Those who do it other ways, flashing to name one are tramps and should be avoided. A female who does not respect herself is not worth a relationship.

It is exciting to a guy when a girl pursues him--assuming he is the secure type and not super old-fashioned.
