Moral Relativism Refuted
Have you ever heard these words: ‘What is true for you is not true for me’ -- ‘Don’t impose your values on me’ -- ‘You have no right to tell me what to do’? Sure you have. These words are very popular. Unfortunately, they have been taught in schools. How many teachers have you heard say, “Come on guys, don’t be scared. There is no right or wrong opinions.”
This is from the idea called relativism. Relativism is the philosophy that denies absolutes or what is really true. There are four kinds of relativism: metaphysical, epistemological, moral, and religious. The metaphysical relativism is the claim that there are no absolutes in reality; epistemological is that there are no absolutes in knowledge; morality is the denial of moral absolutes; and religious is the clam that there is no true religion. We are going to deal mostly with moral relativism in this essay. But first, I must refute the propositions ‘what is true for you is not true for me’ and ‘there is no right or wrong opinion.’
The first proposition, what is true for you is not true for me, is self-contradictory since it asserts an absolute, which is, what is true for you is not true for me. In other words, is it absolutely true that what is true for you is not true for me? Again, it asserts an absolute, making it self-contradictory.
The second proposition, that there is no right or wrong opinions, is a wrong proposition too. Let me give an example of an opinion that can either be right or wrong. If someone says, ‘In my opinion, Osama Bin Laden is dead,’ can he be right or wrong? If Osama is dead, then he is right, if not, then he is wrong. He might not know if he is right or wrong, but he is either right or wrong. Both cannot be true at the same time. Therefore the proposition that there is no right or wrong opinion is false.

There has always been and always will be war because people disagree. During the Roman period before Christianity it was peaceful where Rome conquered but they were warring against the outsiders continually.
As for organized religion, it is an institution and all institutions have a built in mechanism which works for its own preservation rather than the values for which it was created.
Each new generation needs a fresh breath of the Spirit of God to bring God's love into the world instead of dead institutions. If we focus on God's love, we can live together in peace. If we focus on how or what we belief about that love there will be division.

I think the key is to teach tolerance for all people of all faiths. Children should be exposed to a variety of religions and taught that they are not right or wrong. Then make their own choice when the time comes. A child who has no exposure to any teachings is going to be unable to make an educated decision about any faith. How can you read if you are not exposed to the alphabet? The points you make are all about Christianity and that is not the only valid path there is to choose from. Expand your own horizons before criticizing someone else's favorite sunset.

The problem isn't there is no right or wrong, everyone is trying to ram their way done everyones throats. Problem really is its the "Christians!" people were burned at the stake , hung, dismembered, disembowed, executed what ever for not listening and\or following the Pope or his followers beliefs over time. Now people are fed up and are reacting! We are not the police of the world but if you f with us we will roar! If you follow are you a friend if you don't then are you an enemy?

too bad it doesnt work that way. most religions seem to believe that if you dont believe just like them, thier god wants them to kill you, or crucify you, or rape the women of your towns and sell you into slavery or some other nonsence.
it would make more sense if religion were not a part of politics, but try telling that to the thousands of religious leaders out there who think thier doing gods work by converting the infidels( see war in Iraq for more info)

How nice to have Religion to blame everything on.
Why if not for religion TO CAST THE BLAME ON,what would we do?
A mature person can say ,my fault I am sorry.
So now be mature and say you are sorry.
Religion is not the problem,it is the heart of evil men.
Greed,lust,hate,and every evil work.

Anytime people disagree they fight. It's a fact of life. People have even fought wars over sea-bird guano. Religion? Why not?

You have been BRAINWASHED!
Just think about what you just said; " No way is right, and no way is wrong???!!"
Imagine if we applied that to mathematics, engineering, medicine, or aviation.
If there is no right and wrong, let's just empty out all the prisons. After all, we shouldn't judge others... HUH?
