Try a sundial. Use the sun and a compass to calibrate it. When the sun is due south, it is noon (assuming you are in the northern hemisphere). Find out when sunrise and sunset are from your local newspaper and calibrate your dial using this knowledge. Rise when it gets light, sleep when it's dark.
You should be fine.
P.S. You don't really need a compass. Mark points at the end of the shadows cast by your sundial. When the shadow length is the shortest, it is noon.
