Is it possible that that would be possibly the tackiest thing you could do? WHY YES! These people went out and spent hard earned money and time looking for something to give you.....the VERY least you can do is spend 2 minutes writing a thank you note! I know they aren't fun....frankly they suck! but get basically a plug in the gift form letter goin, 3 lines will suffice and get goin with it.....and why can't your new husband help? You may not like my answer, but frankly it would piss me off to hear that someone hired somebody to thank me...just so you know what a lot of reactions will be.

How many gifts are you expecting to recieve? It is possible, but wouldnt you and your husband want to write the notes on your own? Thoughts coming from the heart? Try a wedding site or you could have a friend help you

yes, it's also possible that they can hire a take-out service to run over to Walmart and get your gift.
Why not just send out a mass email and they can check the box of the appropriate gift?
you could list them all
blender, picture frame, etc.
They can personalize their own thank you note.
How special?! If you find the time you can actually throw in some free clip art (but only if you can find the time and it comes from your heart).
geesh.

this is social unacceptable.
These people have taken time out of their lives, money out of their wallets, and given you love from their heart and you can't take a few hours out of your precious life to thank them?
Does it still sound like a good idea? You could have a verse printed in the invites but, you should still thank them and tell them you appreciated their company (or that they were missed if they were unable to come). Thank them for their gift if they gave money let them know what you bought with your wedding money. You could have your new hubby help and maybe a friend write them out if you want them written in different hand writing but make each one personal which means you decide what gets written in everyone.

Hiring someone isn't a very personal approach to your thank-yous...you should be genuinely thankful for everything that was given to you, especially since gifts are not a requirement. Have your fiance help you, or get another family member, like your mother, to help.

Yes, it's possible -- but very tacky. Would you actually feel you were showing your true appreciation by doing it that way? Are you really too busy to do something "personally" nice for a friend who was "personally"nice to you?
Give them a "thank you" they can feel came from the heart (and in your own handwriting).

Gee, just do it yourself! Do ten a day or something to spread them out if you are having so much difficulty with them - but don't delay too much after the wedding.

Yes but why? That's impersonal in my opinion especially since they spend the money to send you gifts. And/or they go to your wedding.

You could print them out from your computer.

It is better to write then yourself, after all did you have someone help you open the gifts and use/spend the gifts. Sorry do it yourself.
