It sounds like he either got hold of poison, or had a seizure that caused heart failure... Are you in an area that has snakes or scorpions?

If you live in Florida or Australia,he could have got ahold of a marine toad(or cane toad),which is highly toxic and will cause seizures and death,or he could have been poisoned or bitten by a snake.Then again,the pup could have had some kind of disease or genetic defect.The only way to tell would be to take it to the vet and have a necropsy done.I'm sorry for your loss.

could be liver shunt, or seizure, does it really matter, he is dead, i have had many pets, dogs and cats over the years, and have many die, had one 17 yrs became blind and had a stroke and had to put him out of his misory,
if he wasnt sick, and you didnt need to give him/her meds, then you have to move on, always get another baby, they will luv you the same
