we've been friends for a pretty long time and he says wsup everyday. or i say hi. but mostly him i guess. and he plays around with me a lot in language arts...[[: now that my secrets out thanks to a lowlife with a big mouth, he keeps his head down when he walks by but stares at me when im not looking. what does this mean and what should i do?

i think that he's a bit shy and he likes you. To know the real meaning of this behaviour, then you have to ask him yourself what happened to him. If you like him then you should show it to him. But don't go to the point, just give him some hints and try to remove the shyness he has and make him tell you his feelings for you. Hope it helped and Good Luck.

He was happy being friends cause you can't get turned down as a friend. He could be with you a lot and no one would say anything. If he gets put on the spot and has to own up to his
feelings for you, you could turn him down and he would die of embarrassment. You guys are still young, so this kind of stuff still counts.
Get him alone and find out how he feels. Be careful..

Sorry but he not only doesn't like you but he's also a real jerk. Be glad your secret is out because sooner or later you should know whether he likes you too. He doesn't respect that. You know to move on, to find a real worthwhile guy. Let this one go.
After writing the previous paragraph, I saw Hideo's answer. He doesn't seem to know what you meant by "now that my secrets out"; otherwise I think his answer would have been different.

Try talking to him and see. If there is something wrong then find it and make him answer. If a guy sees that a girl is interested in him and vise versa then sparks will fly.
THERE IS A MISUNDERSTANDING! TRY TO FIND IT. HE EITHER FEELS BAD ABOUT SOMETHING OR MAYBE HE HAS FEELINGS TOO.

He shy and immature and generally being a dumb boy.
Just keep on being friendly and casual, like you are really not stressed. Then when he comes out of his shell, ask him why he was like that to you .
I'm pretty sure it means he likes you, but is scared of screwing things up

He likes you, but maybe his friends said to him that you are not that good looking and that you don't deserve him. So basicly he listened to his friends advice wich was negative about you. So now he is showing them that he is not interessted in you anymore. Yes, we guys do that also !
