We must be thankful before praying, while praying and after praying. Some things good continuously occur to all mankind.

The day comes to an end in sleep at night as we refresh our bodies for the next day, week, month and years. The moon provides the mystery of light in the darkness. The spirits dance at the campfire in the sky that is our home. The bear is the master of ceremonies. He teaches how to have integrity along with simplicity and innocence at the same time. It is hard lessons we learn at sundown when the earth threatens to turn to winter, everywhere. Pray for the bear and the dancing spirits, pray for the Sun as it deeps into the ocean to sleep with the fish. Know that all will return tomorrow at sunrise. It is promised.
When the fire is out and children are snuggled in bed with their mothers and sisters and brothers, Grandmother and Grandfather are their also, the White Buffalo comes to the last spark of fire and and blows on the spark to keep it alive until morning. The great beast is pure at heart and simple as a child but also an animal of the greatest integrity and wisdom on earth. We must pray and thank the Great Spirit for creating this marvelous and challenging beast and this wonderful and amazing earth where we live out our lives and give unto the people our best efforts for the generation to come this way because Mother Earth is a place to know on a trail of many places and principles that we are required to master. Give prayer and thanks for all that we are given.

(Ephesians 5:20) ... in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ giving thanks always for all things to our God and Father.

Of course, this does not mean that whatever happened was caused by God. With him “there is no injustice; righteous and upright is he.” (Deuteronomy 32:4) God gives good gifts to man, but some of the gifts have been misused, causing suffering. (James 1:17)

So, if you know that you have asked for something wrong to happen and it happened, you should not thank God for that. He has no part in any evil schemes.

Yes, when you ask one of your parents for something and then they get it for you you say thank you don't you? It's the same thing with God. Why wouldn't it be ok to thank Him for doing something for you?
