You have to decide if you want to just find someone else and forget the smoker or if you can overcome your dislike of whatever smell smoke makes and go out with her. It is that simple.
Whether or not she ever decides to quit will be her business and on her time. Its a separate issue that has nothing to do with you and that you have no right to have an opinion of with the exception of choosing not to go out with her in the first place because she smokes.

Man, I appreciate your post because I am an attractive but smoking female. I've been alone by choice (I thought) for two years now. My girlfriend and I were just saying the other day how we wished we didn't enjoy our addictions so damn much. I guess we smokers keep up our habits because in reality we don't want intimacy. We want people to keep their distance. Inside we are hurting and are afraid. We continue to feed our pain with smoking, knowing what it's doing to our bodies, much less how it offends people like you. We need love the most, our addictions are stronger than a herion addiction. If people could get past themselves and work out the smoking issue with us individually; like asking us not to smoke around you but explaining how you'd like to some spend time in our lives; we could probably work it out. You'd be surprised how long I can go without a cig. If you nag, she'll probably double her habit.
Remember, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and each time, expecting a different result. We smokers are insane...

This reminds me of the Sex and the City episode.
Tell her that you don't like a girl who smokes and that you can't continue to see a smoker. Just let her know how you feel before things go too far. If you don't, you'll probably end up hurt in the end when you could've saved the pain from the beginning.
Plus, do you want to possibly end up with someone who's just smoking their life away like that and can end up dying on you over something she could've controlled...

If you can't get passed it now you should not even bother trying to go anywhere with a relationship with her. Some smokers quit and some battle it for their entire (shortened) lives. If you choose to be with a smoker you are putting your own health at risk because of second hand smoke.

It is hard to be nice about this, but basically you don't enjoy kissing an ashtray. She should know that her clothes reeks from the smell, her hair, her furniture, drapes, everything has that smell. She may be gorgeous, but her aroma is a turn off.

If she likes you and wants to start a relationship with you, then I think she's ready to do any sacrifice for you. Let her know that you don't like the smell of cigarettes and wait for her reactions. Good Luck

Either hold your nose, your comments and your opinions or leave her alone. Nothing chases a person away faster than voicing a negative opinion that wasn't asked for, especially before you even get in good with them.

Tell her you don't like it. She may have been trying to quit for a while and hasn't had the right motivation. If she doesn't want to quit, you need to decide what's really important.

you can never try to change her.
if she likes you enough she will quit in her own good time
she has got to want to quit for herself, and not for you...
good luck
