I'm 14 and I want to shave. I have lot of dark hair and it makes me self-consious. How do I convince my mom to let me shave?

My legs were really bad!!!! It took a canoe trip to make my mom realize this fact. I don't think you can convince her of letting you shave. And I wouldn't try pushing it too much either. You want to show her you can be mature about it. So maybe sit down and ahve a convresation about why she doesn't want you to shave. If she's says it's because you're too young, calmly approach why you think you're mature enough to take on such a step.

You should ask her nicely, at a time when she's not really doing anything and she's in a good mood, if you could please shave your legs or whatever you want to shave. If she says yes, of course, thank her, and if she says no, respect her decision and ask again later if she lets you. Whatever you do, don't cry because most moms hate that.

I think you should be shaving your legs and armpits at 14.
My nieces wanted to shave so I talked to their mom. Get an aunt or a friend of hers to talk to her. My daughter was shaving at 11.

Don't tell her! she wouldn't notice. Besides, this is your body ! its not like you're gonna cut yourself. I'm serious, she wouldn't notice, so you dont' have to tell her! but just remember this. dont' shave your face, cuz it'll make it grow like a man when you grow up. Just wax it for the face ok? how do I know? because I saw many middle aged people with beared like a man, and they said they started to shave their face when they were teenagers. But you can shave your legs, arms, under arm, something like that.

Tell her how self concious you feel. Im 15 and i started shaving at 9 because I was in gymnastics(and still am) because we wear leatards.

Tell her exactly that. Let her know you are self-consious about it, and you think you're mature enough. Also, gently remind her that it is your body and if she approves you would like her to demonstrate properly. If you act maturly about this, she'll treat you that way.

Easy, just shave then don't tell your Mom.
Use a good shaving cream, clean razor blades, and warm water.
Or, you can get the hair waxed.

Tell her that all ur friends do n that ur so unhappy about it n that u badly need to do it to c the feminin side of u, and some tears wont be wrong ;)

Cry. It always worked for me. If is doesn't work then just show her your hairy legs and tell her they will laugh at you and ban you from the inner circle of cool kids forever. If that doesn't work then take some of your Christmas money and buy some disposable razors and hide them
