why do we grow nails on our toes?? i see the purpose of nails on our fingers, but why toes??
is this a clue to our evolution? that we actually were once monkeys and used our feet and nails to climb trees and eat food and scratch ourselves with our toenails?? what do you think?

That's interesting. Another point to think about is that all your nerve endings come out into your toes and feet along with your hands and fingers. So your finger and toe nails could be just a protective shell. And I don't know about anybody else but my nails still come in damn handy.
