First open the egg carton and visually inspect the egg.
Look at the texture of the egg and overall color
Smell the shell of the egg
Again, look at the texture and color of the egg
Now, crack the egg open and look at the egg - and ask yourself...
Is this egg really worth 2 days of sickness???
If yes, cook your egg
If no, go to store and spend $1.99 for 12 eggs good till mid DEC

"Float" them.
Fill a cup with water about an inch deeper than the egg is tall and submerge an egg.
If the egg sinks entirely and lays on its side, it's fresh.
If the egg lies at an angle but is still submerged on the bottom, it's still good to eat.
If the egg stands on it's end but still touches the bottom, then you probably only want to use it for baking, but not for eating straight.
If it floats to the surface, get rid of it.

I would still give them a go, you will know when you crack it open just by the smell.
Or cook them up let someone try it if they become sick it might be a good idea to feed them to the dog!

When you crack the egg and it has a bad smell or is discolored then it's bad. Otherwise as long as you cook them you won't have a problem.
