halo: hello
sayang: terms of endearment, to people you like- sisters, friends, little ones, lovers.
very much like: dear/ darling...

example,
parents will call their kids: sayang
friends will call their close friends: sayang
lovers call each other: sayang
i call my pooches: sayang
