HIS LIPS ARE SWOLLEN HUGE AND IT IS HURTING INSIDE HIS MOUTH AND HIS TEETH. I AM AFRAID IT IS THE STAFF AGAIN, BUT AM HOPING IT IS A HUGE PIMPLE ON HIS LIP. THIS IS DAY TWO. I WILL MISS WORK TOMMOROW TO TAKE HIM TO URGENT CARE BECAUSE I AM AFRAID IT IS ANOTHER STAFF INFECTION. THEY LOOK LIKE HUGE PIMPLES, BUT TURN INTO GIANT BOIL-LOOKING THINGS.
I AM TAKING HIM TO THE DOCTOR TOMMOROW, BUT AM SO WORRIED,,,,,,,HE IS ALLERGIC TO THE ONLY TWO ANTIBIOTICS THAT CAN HELP HIM. PLEASE HELP ME SLEEP!!!!

He probably has MRSA. There are several antibiotics that can be used. Don't worry. Take him to a Children's Hospital if your Dr. claims that he cannot help.

There are many antibiotics that take out staph. He will be fine tonight so long as the swelling doesn't interfere with his breathing. If you are that worried about it, go to the ER. Has anyone drawn blood on him yet? If this is the 3rd time for the same thing make sure you get lab work done. Don't let them send you off with just a prescription. Keep the area clean and put a bulky dressing on the area. Make sure that you change his sheets and wash hands, his and yours, regularly. Be assertive with the doc, don't be afraid.

I have problems like that too, cellulitis, mines of the mouth, tissues in the mouth.

I'm sorry he's suffering from a reaction, can he take benedryl too along with the prednisone?

I think probably what might be a good idea is in his case is for them to lance it, clean out the infection really well and culture it to see what might best work on the type, then put him on that antibiotic for a good month to clear things up for good. I would hate to see it spread inside his mouth to his teeth or tissues. He might need to be hospitalized with IV antibiotics for a day or so until they kick in.

I would get him to the dr tomm and get things moving. I waited on mine and wound up in a huge mess and lost teeth because of it. Better safe than sorry. I'm sure they can find something to work on him if they culture it.

There are more than 2 antibiotics that can cure a STAPH infection so ask the doc to prescribe something he is not allergic to. You son may need to be seen by a dermatologist or an infection specialist but that would be up to his regular doc.

the worry with neutering is there are easily no guarantees. it would want to settle down the project (get the submissive one finished as if the aggressive one receives no reaction, the project might want to end top there), yet likelihood is it also received't. i'm afraid you may want to in all likelihood be searching at having to rehome one among them - and that would want to need to be the more youthful one because the older one has 'tenure' on his area. regrettably with 2 Terriers, adult males, like Staffies, this perchance a project that would want to't be resolved as it truly is the nature of the Breed. i wouldn't beat your self up over splitting them up briefly because once the son grew to change into mature, this transformation into continuously in all likelihood to be going to ensue.
