How do you feel? Are you stll very holy and calm or are you completely different than you were before?
I am asking because I went to a Catholic girls school and I think I got a calling one weekend. It frightened me actually because it was so overbearing.

I think I was misunderstood!
I was 17 years old at the time it happened, I ignored 'the calling' I am a mother of 6 now and married, etc. Sorry if I misled you! I think being a mother was my calling!

I had heard that Martin Luther (long before he started the reformation) promised God that he would become a monk, if God would save him alive out of a thunderstorm, so I promised God that I would become a female Lutheran minister if he'd save me alive during an operation which I had to undergo when I was 12 years old. When I was 16 I discovered that this was not the will of God after all, so I got baptised by full immersion and filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues. I attend a great church now (see www.cai.org) and by the way I think beeing a wife and mother is a great and fantastic calling. Love, Maggie

I actually did in my early youth when I decided to join the SVD Seminary*, which was a total 14-year course for Priesthood Ordination in the Roman Catholic Church.
Never made it through since I only stayed within those 'hallowed halls' for a couple of years. That's when I began to embark on my personal quest for The Truth, which remained unanswered well into most of my adult life, as I dabbled into all sorts of other religions and philosophies that I could get my hands on for years in order to get a better understanding of each one.
My journey ultimately led me to leaving the RC Church altogether when I found what I had sought for and, in the process, it has also renewed and strengthened my Faith sevenfold...
Peace be with you!

I had a calling to the Roman Catholic Priesthood. Despite having since left the faith (I'm now an atheist), I have kept that strength of character and determination to be a good active member of the Human Community.
If you feel a calling to the faithful vocations, FOLLOW IT!!! Do not waver, let nothing and no one stand in your way!

No. I'm not into little boys that way. It's a sick calling.
