If fever is below 101 orally do nothing
do not bundle her, give her any antipyretic (fever-reducer) meds
just give fluids for her to drink
the body is fighting the infection naturally
If the oral temp goes about 102 give her 2 Tylenol and apply cool wet cloths to her face, chest , arms, legs
DON'T use ice packs- it will cause her to shiver and the mechanism will cause the temp to go higher
If it climbs above 103- contact the MD

First of all, how high is the fever? How long has she had it? And does she have any other pre-existing medical conditions before taking medication for fever. A fever is diagnosed at a temperature above 101.5 degrees.
Beyond what was stated above, tylenol 325mg is usually taken to control temperature. Otherwise, ibuprofen, naproxen sodium, and aspirin are suitable alternatives. As always, see a physician if the fever does not improve, or her condition worsens over the next few days. Make sure to push fluids to maintain the liquid she is losing from sweating or the elevated temperature. Remember that ibuprofen and aspirin should be avoided in pregnancy.
Good luck.

All the above meds is right. Also, if fever really getting high, put her in a lukewarm bath to cool her off. (not freezing cold, just a little cool) Do not use alcohol like they used to say. Now they say alcohol rubs and cold baths are too extreme and put a person into convulsions. But the barely warm bath will bring down the fever. IF gets to 103 degrees, and advil doesn't help, GO TO EMERGENCY room. good luck

Any over the counter fever reducer. Nyquil, tylenol. Plenty of fluids and if that does not break the fever, place ice packs under her armpits for a few minutes. Place the icepack in a moist washcloth. Also, an icepack on her forehead.

If she is able to stay at home and rest, than allow her to do that naturally instead of giving her medicine. Her body is heating up to fight the illness. Giving her medicine will just suppress the pathogen and make recovery time longer.
Just watch over her and put her in a cool bath to bring her temperature down a little bit.

Lots of liquids and a cold compress for her head. a sponge bath also helps to lower down the temperature and eases the discomfort of the person. Drink medicine consistently following the time intervals. I hope she gets well soon.

Tylenol as directed and Ibuprophen as directed. You can stack them...Tylenol, 2 hours later, IBP, two hours later, Tylenol, ect. Do not do for more than 24 hours though, and call the advise nurse in your area to make sure that my info is correct before doing so.

Aspirin and cool cloths. Watch her temperature - if it goes over 103 or it lasts more than a day, take her to the hospital immediately!
