Hindus are not obsessed with sex as made to believe by the rest of the world. yes, sex is an important part of any human culture. hindus accept it as a part of human life. misconception is that many western religions and thier preachers eventoday cannot come to terms with the real meaning and purposes of these.
take a look at the number of porno watchers, maximum is from western society consisting christians & muslims. where the religion prohibits it, sex becomes a part of the daily routine.
have you ever seen the temples at khajuraho. outer part of the temple is covered with erotic scultpures in various poses of sexual acts. and the deity or god is inside the temple. a christian or a muslim theoligian will not understand what it means. because he is not aware of anything related to sex.
when you go to god you have to leave all worldly thoughts outside.that is why the those carvings and sculptures are outside the temples. you should go to god with an open heart and clean mind. i know it difficult for a sex obsessed westerner to accept this fact. with a little patient practice this can be achieved. sex and other worldly things in outer and god inside you. only when you leave it you can be in communion with god.
also sex is sacred in hindu religion. ofcourse there are people vulgarise it just for the sake of publicity. the real meaning is what i explained above. only a civilized society can accept such things. why only followers wester religions go in search of sex tourism to places like thailand and other south eastern countries. it is because they are sex obsessed.

I haven't heard about it either...I do know that the Krsna Consciousness movement only believes in sex for procreation and no enjoyment so there is no casual sex for them. Also, India is the birthplace of Jainism and Buddhism, religions that are technically more chaste.

Thats a good question that I have often asked myself.I dont think however that its a part of their culture or religion.I think they are curious but a little too much. They swarm you in the chat rooms I know that from experience. They even want you to tell them in detail how you do it.Telling them your married doesnt work either.

Some people shouldn't ask questions, there's a difference between honest curiosity and just plain stupidity.
