how to call a filebrowser from javascript ?

can some one help me to solve this issue

will permit you to choose a file, but the only use for that file is to upload it to a server, javascript can't read local files.

there are work-arounds though!!

By JavaScript do you mean the Sun Micro systems Java
Or the JavaScript that launches pop ups?

Use it to trigger onclick of an HTML, let the browser take over the file and permission tasks.
