I think I may have Pneumonia; hard to breathe. The doctor said to recommend me an X-Ray scan. Can x-ray cause any kind of cancer to the body?

Yes it can but only in massive doses, I wouldn't worry about just a simple xray to the chest, the doc needs to see what's happening with your lungs, if it's pneumonia or bronchitus, that's important. If you were exposed to the xray machine a million times there would be a chance and only a small one at that, of developing cancer. Don't worry about that, rest and get better.

Only if repeatedly to the same spot in a short period of time. X-rays are safe for the most part, if you take a few of them each year. Should tell your doctor the last time you had an x-ray and which part of the body. your radiologiest willl judge if you've exceeded the limit.

Ask your doctor he's the one who recommended the scan. All I know is you can take an xray but you cant if your pregnant (and female) for some reason

There're UV rays transmission which is harmful for your health when it passes thru your body during the scan.

Consult your doctor (who's conducting the scan) for precautionary measures.
