Hi I'm a single woman that loves my neice so much. Sometimes I would call her my love like "come here my love" when I get her out of the car seat or something.

My mom thinks that's weird or something but I just love her that's all and very attached to her.

What u think?

My neice is around 21 months old

It doesn't bother her dad(my brother).

People have many pet names for people they love. When others think that's weird, it doesn't say alot about their compassion for mankind. You're a great aunt, your niece knows who loves her! What this world needs is more people like you.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with what you say. I call one of my adopted nieces which is now 16 years old "My pretty little girl" or "Come here apple of my eye". I tell her I love her all of the time and have other nicknames for her. She loves it and I don't see anything wrong with expressing your love for someone. Your Mom is the one that has the weird problem, not you. Expressing your love towards someone is a very special thing and can only be shared between you and whoever. Don't let you Mom or anyone else make you feel weird or wrong. I think it is great. More power to you and good luck.

LOL I don't find that weird at all.

Complete strangers say that to me every now and then. Just the other day, someone called me "sweet pea."

But you are her aunt. I think that's really sweet. It's not a big deal at all!

It's not weird, just an expression of your caring for her. I wouldn't quit saying it. I do the same with my little nephews. I think it's great to let kids know that you love them by the words you use with them.

Well, i don't think that there is anything wrong with it.
After all, you are her aunt and she isn't like 9 or 10 years old
And if doesn't bother her parents, then it's fine
