Absolutely! Why are gas prices so high, etc. I live in New Hampshire. It costs about $1.00 per tree to raise, depending on how many acres you have. Either way you look at it, it's a once a year holiday rip-off. You can even cut off the tops of trees that have grown to big for about $10 bucks and I'll cut the bottom nice and strait for you.

Christmas trees take 10 years from the time they are seedlings until they reach a suitable size. Costs a lot of money to trim & prune them year to obtain the shape & fullness. So now you can decide for yourself........

drought conditions in states/areas where they're grown have caused many seedlings to die prematurely. Much fewer trees are in supply, while demand stays the same or increases, thus price increases.
