I like it but a month before the holidays , I soak it in rum. Reseal the container & then open it up - wow the fumes are enough to get you not to mention the rum soaked fruitcake....wonderful. You can buy expensive or cheap rum- it does not matter. Good luck.

Fruitcake to me is NASTY but it makes a good gag gift for my friends. It's our little joke he he he. :)

My husband loves fruit cake! He loves all different kinds, but his fav is Grandma's fruit cake from Figis. It has rum and bourbon in it. You do not get drunk from eating this. It costs about 25.00 a loaf.
