Yeah, and I'd have sex with her too.

Being in the military is an occupation, and with any occupation there will be people who are attracted to others in that occupation. I just got out after 8+ years in the military, ending with a tour in Iraq. I never thought of the females as 'military', they were either attractive or not. And no, 'pretty' doesn't always mean
'attractive'.
However, non-military people will not understand what it's like to be in the military, so you have to take that into consideration. If they know people who are in, they may have a better understanding, but otherwise, all they know is what they see and hear on TV. For example: if you don't know anyone who's a doctor, all you may know is what you've seen on ER.
Also, being in the military carries more respect than it used to, especially with all the people going overseas: you either are one or know someone who is. I know I was treated well by complete strangers when I was in uniform going to and coming back from R&R leave. If you're concerned about telling a guy 'I'm in the military', tell him what you do first and not who you work for.
Keep your standards high and you'll be okay.
For the record, I like the way that women look in uniform.

I think men in the military wouldn't have a problem with it since there is a common core of experiences there to share. Some civilian guys might be intimidated/ turned off if they have that stupid alpha male attitude.
However, I'm sure there are some civilian guys out there that wouldn't mind. It would help if they had some prior association with the military (parents/ relatives in the military) so they would know what to expect if things got serious (TDYs, PCSs, deployment, living overseas, etc.). It might not seem like a big deal if you are used to it, but I knew people back home that had never moved in their life and didn't want to go to a college that wasn't within driving distance for coming home on the weekends. It was very intimidating for them never having to go somewhere new and start from scratch in a new place, making friends, etc. Imagine someone like that being told they might have to move every 1.5 -3 years.

I think your question is pretty open. The job doesn't seem to matter so much when it comes to finding a partner unless they have set political or moral views on the military. From my own experience it's mostly civilian women who date military men but that just may be because there are more men in the services than women. I wouldn't simply date someone just because they are in the military, we are just like everyone else, just with better looking clothes :-)

Well I am older than you and certainly wouldn't be intimated by a military woman. But I am also old fashioned and don't like the idea of women being placed in 'harms way' in the military. I don't look down on women or their abilities it's just a quirk I have. Look at the good side you wouldn't want to be with a guy who was intimated by you anyway, so that can be a method of culling out the riffraff.

Yeah I dig a chick in uniform. I work wit' correctional officers and some of those female officers make it hard for me to control myself and remain professional.

Good question.Whenever i see a pretty in woman uniform,i wondered how she could be approached. Its kinda intimidating, but if she is in mufti(street clothes)then u can hit on her without knowing and find out later. After that there is nothing to be intimidated about.

I don't think what a woman does really affects the level of attraction involved. There isn't anything wrong with being in the military, if he is worth anything at all it will not faze him.
