Try department stores or j-crew or david's bridal or white house/black market. The sites below have quite a bit to select from. And have a variety of range in prices. Remember that it doesn't have to white. The dress can be ivory, ecru or off-white is you so choose.
Congrats and hopefully the 2 ceremonies and family don't stress you out too much.

There are a lot of holiday cocktail dresses out now. I'd do a search for white cocktail dress. It will look like a short wedding dress and probably be a fraction of the price.
I'm getting married myself and it's definitely tough finding the right dress. Unfortunately I need a longer one.
Try looking at Nordstrom online.. they have a lot of white dresses.

Stay clear of anything strapless unless you're planning on wearing a shawl of some sort...a lot of churches, at least Catholic ones, require that your shoulders be covered.

you could try a simple but pretty and romantic cami (tank top, whatever you want to call it) with a tiered or ruffled skirt. my firend did that fro her wedding, and it looked nice, but not extremely formal. it looks nice with flowers in you hair... or you could find a nice sun dress, or buy a pattern to make one.
