A lot of what Jesus and the early church taught was similar to Marxism, in the general sense, not the powerful dictator sense... equality, and not striving for wealth.

No. The economic situation of the early Christians was dire. Lots of poverty. Not like American poverty where you still have cell phones, computers, internet, and 48in television. They would not have had food or any material possessions. Those with more money would sell what they had to support those who had nothing. It was not an absolute requirement in the sense that Christians of all times and culture must follow suit. But it was an absolute principle in that Christians of all time and cultures must be prepared and willing to do so if circumstances change.

It was my understanding that Jesus didnt really have much possessions to worry about. He walked and moved about so much, he just lived off the goodness and kindness of strangers and the communities in which he was in at any given moment.. If you feel that is communism?.. I feel its just sharing..

You heard it wrong. They have been hoarding riches and tax free. Jesus teaching was in vain when it comes to this part.
