i dont really know much about either cultures, but i do know that you have to be very careful dating older guys being as he has a lot more experience than you. im not playin when i say DO A SEARCH ON HIM. this world is going crazy. i am guessing that he takes you out to places "you will never have experienced without him". dont forget about your family and friends through this. these were the same ages when i experienced this. i am only one year older and i wish that i would have been told this, because its really disappointing when your king from far away turns out to be nothing he claimed to be. if he does not make you feel like a qeen it is not worth it. please be careful in what you choose to do.

Well considering that you are only 18 and he's 30 I think he is a bit too old for you. Not that the age is a bad thing but if you think of it this way, he is in his 30's where he is perhaps ready for children, a family and possibly marriage. Maybe you're not ready for all that yet. Why don't you finish college and settle down and wait til you're financially stable enough to get involved with a man who is much older because settling down is a big responsibility. You two are not on the same level now: he's ready to make a future and you're just begining a future.

You know the saying "age aint nothing but a number"? Well... that's a lie! If you like dating older than men than you go for it. If religion is a big deal to you... then you should reconsider the hook up. You both will have different ideas on everything. Good luck if you do hook up!

Hmm intresting one Personly i wouldnt go out with anyone more than 5 years younger and 3 years older.

I think im gona have to agree with your freinds you need to aim for someone closer to your age otherwise it dont matter maybe if you grow 10 years over night then it'll be fine.

The age difference might not matter now.. but it might later. I know that I thought I had myself all figured out, when I was 18. But by the time I was 25 My ideas had totally changed. (With time and experience) You can always try anyway... and if it fails then at least you know you tried!

guys around your age are boys not men, older you bother get less teh difference will make. Religion is private thing, it doesnt matter in the least. you have similiar values is important.
if you like men have a man if you want a boy go dancing with 18 year olds

I think you'll find the right man for you later in life. If you're not ready to settle down, dating someone so much older seems pointless. Your friends are probably right.

at you current age that is a significant age difference, with time it would be less so. I would say that you should experience more of life first but maybe you don't/won't have that opportunity to do so.

If this guy makes you happy then go for it. Just be careful with the age gap. The reason why is he may not take it as serious.
