Believe in it...? If you're asking weather or not I am "in favor of marriage as an institution" or supportive of it as in "one who recommends matrimony," then sure, I am - but probably not quite as you might be thinking.

I think that the legal contracts which are currently written for marriage need a drastic and serious overhauling; and so, I'll take this as an opportunity to expound on some of what I think is needed.

First of all, I don't think that marriage ought to be expected to last a lifetime and I do think that marriage ought to be redirected into sharp focus upon the well being any child that a marriage might produce; in fact, I think that procreation and child rearing ought to be the primary reason for marriage... and perhaps the only reason for it. Furthermore, Its my recommendation that joint property and required fidelity ought certainly be excluded from marriage contracts since they are so often causes for divorce and since they are fiercely fought over at the time of a divorce.

I have quite a few other ideas that make my idea of marriage very different from what is commonly considered part of the present day marriage contract. But, believe it or not, in general, I still do favor the idea of marriage and I certainly hope that every marriage taken on will be an ideal, life-long pairing of two loving individuals, very much as a triditional marriage... I just don't think it ought to be put into law quite as it is.

Yes... absolutely......

Marriage creates life......

Without the two portions of humanity... Male and female.... there is no life.......

The male holds the spirit which enters the empty shell.....
The female holds the empty shell which withers with time if not fertilized......

These two parts marry to make the body whole.......

When the body is whole.... life comes forth.....

And so it is when we enter marriage.... it takes both parts of humanity.....

a man enters into an agreement with his female counterpart..... together they are a whole body.......

Together, they can create life...... So it is with marriage... be it in the literal sense or in the spiritual sense... it is marriage, none-the-less.......

Yes it takes two to raise a family. The children will see both male and female and that creates a healthy balance mentally.

Absolutely not. If you require someone to confirm their love to you, then you don't really trust them. If you don't trust them, you shouldn't be getting married. Love is a commitment as is. The only necessity for marriage would be for legal benefits.
-in my humble opinion

Yah as long as she has a flat head to put a beer on, and big ears for me to grab a hold of when she is on her knees, and is deaf and dumb, that is the ideal woman, that way she doesnt talk back or get mouthy.
