My 6-year old West hightland White Terrior dog hurt my older dog several times. Then, Vet suggested to cut all her front teeth short. The Vet said it won't be a problem to my dog, so he did it. However, I can see her tooth nerve exposured. I do not know if we did the right decision or will make her teeth problem in the future. Anyone could tell me?

Both Vets suggested me do it. After several months of cutting front teeth short, she stopped biting and hurting the others. They told me it won't cause cavity or problems to my dog after cutting her teeth. Does dog teeth are different from human?

Both Vets have license and open their clinic for years at this area. Before they did the surgery, the Vet told me cut short of the 4 big teeth can be a solution. When my dog woke up from the surgery, I was shocked that they cut all her front teeth short including four big teeth. Vets kept telling me it cannot cause her problem of eating or trouble of her teeth in the future. The dog did under pain killer for about a week. My dog become sensitive of her teeth after it. She still likes to chew bones though.... She used let me brush her teeth. Now, she seems sensitive of her teeth. I'd take her to another Vet and check her teeth. Thank you for all of your answers. I'm greatly appreciated!

The person who did this to your dog is not a licensed veterinarian. If he IS, he needs to be brought up before his state's Board for disciplinary action. What he did constitutes gross malpractice.
No graduate of an accredited U.S. college of veterinary medicine would have ever recommended such a thing.
YES....it is a problem that the nerve root is exposed. YES....that leaves the tooth root open to infection if a root canal and crown were not performed at the same time. YES....it's VERY painful, even if infection doesn't develop. And YES....it was entirely unnecessary, as what you had was a behavioral, not a dental, problem.
Incisors can be extracted without much trouble at all, but it's unethical to do so just because of biting. The canines (the long 'fangs') should NEVER be extracted, unless they are rotten to the point that they just can't be saved. They are important for proper jaw alignment.
Get your dog to another veterinarian IMMEDIATELY. And in this case, yes....I would also have to recommend that you bring suit against the person who did this to your dog, veterinarian or not. I suspect he is not a 'real' veterinarian, and should be charged with practicing without a license.
ETA: From which veterinary college(s) did these practitioners supposedly graduate? And from your wording, am I assuming correctly that English is not your first/main language? Might there be a possible communication issue between you and your veterinarians???
ETA again: As wrong as I think they were (based on what you say), you need to edit and remove their name/address/phone number out of your post, since the facts have not been substantiated by an independent third party after review of the case.

Yes take the Vets backgrounds. Degrees, what college he went to etc. First cutting the dogs front teeth is retarded. Dogs need their teeth. Now thanks to your vet, your dog may keep on biting your dog or you because the nerve hurst that he needs something to bite on. What you can do now is probly Su the vet or wait until his teeth grows fine but if it doesnt, Su him. Probly you get couple 1 thousand dollars. The vet would lost his degree and be foreced to never become a doctor.

They didn't cap the tooth? This is why I hate vets....You should either make them finish the job, or go to another vet and have them look at it to make sure it was done right. I just don't know anymore...
BTW I've never heard of this type of thing before and I've spent 23 years in the Dog Fancy.

Sue the vet, in case he did not make you sign a release letter before doing this.
By the way, did the terrier stop hurting the older dog?
I doubt it.
