When you kiss a whale, you kiss every whale that whale has ever been with.

I wonder how you managed to kiss a whale. Before you could kiss it, you may land in its mouth. Anyway, the possibility of getting herpes is as remote as getting herpes by eating fish.

I don't know,But, turtles can have herpes. There's a Capsaisin creme or pills against herpes sores. It supposedly helps the pain and swelling go down. But, maybe if you apply it earlier. It might destroy some of the virus particles. Try taking some capsaisin pills if there are any and apply the creme on the trouble spot(s). Take it for 14-16 days straight and Echinacea to stimulate an immune response. Ak your Physician too. Good luck

I didn't think whales were susceptible to any type of herpes virus! Do you know something the rest of us don't? *chuckle*

Or are you thinking about how certain whales LOOK like they have herpes-type lesions around their mouths, when in fact what you see is just an accumulation of old, crusty barnacles?

If the whale had an outbreak when you kissed it, then its possible. I believe you would have had to kiss the outbreak though. That's pretty gross if you did.
No outbreak = no contact = no transmission

If this isn't enough, try this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herpes_simplex_virus
