Blow dry your hair straight and either flip it or just keep it really straight. Also, if your hair is layered flat iron your hair pull behind your ears and put your hat on.
I am a cowgirl so I wear my hair that way.

I've worn a cowboy hat for 35 yrs. & I have a pony tail. Sometimes I leave it down but on a windy day being that long it can really get tangled. So whatever is practical according to the mood is usually the style of the day. You have to shake the folks up once in a while don't ya??

Well remember after all that grooming ..work.. on drop of water can wreck you do.......I think the key to less stress is to shake what your mom gave ya....literally.Wash, condition, pat/squeeze dry, do not fray, apply mousse/oil, braid or wrap tightly and take down once dry/ you are almost ready to go... what ever you do do not run you fingers/ comb through you hair ( get's us all poofy everytime) ,apply product to your hands before handling...grab and scrunch/ shake gently for volume,...and voila'...perfect almost weatherproof style w/ no stress!!! Good Luck, take care.

Loose waves rock with cowboy hats. My family is in the hat business and that's what rocks. When you wash your hair, dry it in the braid or tight bun until it's dry, then party looking fabulous in your cowboy hat.

When I wear my hat I wear my hair down. But when I go riding or doing chores I wear my hair in a ponytail. I don't like my hair in my mouth when I am riding & visiting with my friends. Also one of my riding friends mentioned my ponytail matched Jasper my mule's tail! Good luck.
