Also, I'm 17, 18 in april, but I've been pretty much fully developed since 12, haven't grown an inch except in width. The one thing I'm really not good at is counting calories, and I love to workout, but I need something that is effective but easy on me because I had knee surgery a little bit ago and I'm not wanting to shell out another 50,000. I like looking atlethic and slender but I don't think I'll ever be able to get that way. At 12 I weighed 135 which seems like alot for 12, I thought I was fat, but others thought I was actually fit. I gain 75 lbs on Zypraxa and now I've lost 70 of it, but I still wish to get to 120-125, I'm just not sure if I'm phisically able to, but I couldn't see why not.

Cardio, cardio, cardio, and did I say cardio yet? Just get out there and be active. It's that simple.

I have always read that you should weigh 100 pounds at 5 feet and then 5 pounds for every inch after that. But really, that is not going to be right for everyone. Your body has a natural shape and size that may be difficult to change (especially if you have been that way since you were 12). Your exercise is probably limited with the knee injury but that is the best way if you dont want to count calories. Personally, I work out so I can eat what I want. You are still young and need to do what you can with moderate exercise and eating right but not to worry about it too much because that can get too healthy. Just try to do what you can with cardio and weights and keep an eye on what you eat and just make smart decisions when you are eating out. Easier said than done, but you are too young to be that worried about 10-15 pounds.

Good Luck.

a small type person should weigh 100 lbs at 5 feet tall. Add 5 lbs for every inch taller. 5 ft 3 would be 115 for a very small built person. 125 sounds ideal for a regular build.
Since you don't like counting calories you may like weight watchers. It works and each food is given a certain number of points. You learn quickly how many points a food has. When you get to your alloted points for the day, you eat no more, Except from the foods that are "free" and have 0 points. Hope this info helps you. It works for me. I am very short with a small build so I don't get many points.

um okay so very basically at 5'3'' you should be at 115-120, which means i would aim to lose 20 pounds and expect 15 to stay off. quick, healthy ways: exercise regularly, once a day for an hour. i recommend a trainer for at least 2 sessions, to tell you how to make the best out of a workout regime. eat healthy and light, but eat all meals, especially breakfast (a 1/2 grapefruit or 1 hardboiled egg is really good, as is assorted fruits). my general rule: at every meal have at least 1 (preferably 2-3) fruits or veggies, and make sure there is some protein in ur meal 2x a day. drink plenty of water and completely skip the sodas - aim for 6 bottles a day, working up to 8 after 2 months. weight watchers has a good list of food - you dont have to use the points system, just look at how the foods are paired together. remember: losing weight is not a punishment. once in a while (i think 1/wk is good) decide on a slice of cake or that delicious thing you love and enjoy. just do that excercising 30ish minutes before, which will boost your motabolism, helping that treat be delicious but not deadly. also, weigh in only once a week, at most, in the morning after 1 bottle of water and no food. i know this sounds wierd, but i swear it helps something out. keep a healthy attitude all around in life: one of my friends wears only minimal makeup when trying to lose weight / get healthier ! enjoy!
