Just curious. What would happen if most of the U.S. troops were withdrawn, and only the very best-trained remained in Iraq to help keep the peace? Maybe some of the problem is that there are too many American faces around. Maybe instead of sending more troops, only those with the most experience with dealing with Middle Eastern cultures should remain. Instead of relying on a bigger show of force - we would be relying on the best of the best and show we don't want to "occupy" a foreign country - rely a little more on God and not on the military.

I don't mean 300 soldiers total in a literal sense. I mean the concept.

That would mean that our country would have to follow Christian Principles and that the war would have to be ordained by God.
In Gideon's case, it was clearly ordained that those 300 soldiers were only needed. It was a very specific number. Because God wanted to show his ability to defeat the enemy.
Sorry, but I just don't see that the war is the same issue here. This war is not God's battle for his chosen people.

As a real veteran, i detect B as worth of better grievance. anybody with a psychological project can pretend to be a conflict hero, despite the indisputable fact that it takes someone with a slimy time table and moral experience to pull off a pretend interview. self sufficient. on the top of the day we are only individuals. certainly, it really is tense that any American might want to communicate poorly of their usa, despite the indisputable fact that it style of feels to be just about all of media at the moment. i'll't even watch the on a daily basis teach anymore devoid of a few anti-bush anti-conflict time table being thrown in my face. this isn't a wonder in any respect coming from the liberal media.

They would die, most likely.
Bush got rid of anybody with expertise in the Middle East after rejecting them when they pointed out that he doesn't have the ghost of an idea of what he is doing.
The best men in the world, when wielded by a fool, will only accomplish foolish results.

It is possible. But only a small portion of Iraq will be neutralized, hence ancient warfare is very different than today. Unless of course if God was helping the soldiers. I don't believe that invading Iraq is what God approved anyway...

What makes you think it isn't happening right now?
We have invaded their country and forced them to change their system of Government. I am not talking about Sadaam Husein's dictatorship. I am talking about their government that was the same as the old testament. For thousands of years they have had a religious run system of Government.
Then after we toppled Sadaam, Little George Bush decided to occupy Irag and change their government to be the same as our government, which was a slap in the face to their religion.
If another country invaded us and insisted that we change our system of Government, and our religions/ religious commitments, ..... If that happened to us, we would be called the terrorist. We would fight to keep our way of life.
Why should we pull our troops out of Iraq?
Because, they live there, we don't.

You want to get our best of the best wiped out too. We should bring them all home and let the idiot Iraqis work it out among themselves. Why should we lose more American soldiers to those fools. We have lost enough already. God bless kisses Betty.
