Dear lady, you seem to be a net freak who won't refuse to sign off come what may.

I hope the emergency has been resolved.

Please if anything of this sort ever happens again, rush your loved one to the nearest emergency center before it becomes fatal.

Don't waste time in posting a question, then wait for an answer which one cannot be sure, is correct.

Hmm....this may sound silly....but are you sure its a nut? I wouldn't think a piece of food would make it painful to swallow, and not be dislodged with bread....i'm sure its possible, but it seems kind of weird.

Are you sure its not strep throat? Strep throat can feel like food being stuck because of the bumps it coats your throat with. This is especially true in the early stages, where you might not know your sick, but suddenly feel like you have food stuck in your throat.

Try having him eat a piece of ripe banana, it will help it go down because banana is kinda slippery on the way down. If that does not work take him to the doctor or emergency room. Good Luck.

Have a great day!

The two things that I can suggest is to swallow chunks of banana because its stickiness can bring down even fish bones.
The other one is the most common one by first aid standards is to drink lots of water.

You can also try to induce coughing because when someone is choking but able to breathe this is the proper procedure to spit out the choking object.

I wish him the best

Have him try to cough or "hack it up" to get it off the back of his throat. Otherwise you may have to take him to the doctor and have them take some tweezers to pull it off. Maybe swallow something warm or hot.

Wow and you're asking here on Yahoo??? Give him nice warm tea or hot chocolate or hot oatmeal. While you're taking him to the emergency (just in case it comes to that) get him to suck on a moist hot cloth to relax his throat.

Try to push it out using the hiemlich manuever. you grab the person from behind with both hands pull sharply against his solar plexis. This should remove it!

Call a doctor. Seek professional advice. Not advice from a website.

you should take him to the er and have it removed. I wouldn't advise pushing it down, it could get stuck in his throat.
