Did ancient Egyptians worship their kings?

Dear all,
I want a historical answer supported with strong references.
(Note: religion books are not references)

I am asking about (Ptah, Re, Osiris.. ect), were they kings?
Or maybe kings were considered priests for the gods.?

Thanks.

You can read a book called, The Pharoahs of Ancient Egypt, it is pretty informative and enjoyable to read and gives a good explanation of what we know and how we know it. It is sort of set in a factual telling of the story of how we found the Rosetta Stone and went on to learn more and understand more about Ancient Egypt.

Bottom line is yes, they did worship their kings, or pharoahs. They went on to worship the sun, sky, and on and on. We know this because we can read their language.

I can't give you the scholarly treasties names on this, but the Pharoah was considered a god himself, the son of Horus/Osiris.
Ptah, Re, Horis, Osiris, etc. were gods, not kings. The Pharoah was more than just a priest of the gods he was the incarnation of a god. Check out your local library for book/article references to back me up.

No the were not kings. They are fallen angels acting like gods. same old trick the devil has used for thousands of years! Yes they got worshiped, but all demons try and gain worship. The bible says worship the Lord your God only Jesus , the Messiah
